Jeff Brown Named Bison Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Jeff Brown of the Bucknell men's track and field team has been named the Bison Athlete of the Week after his record-breaking performance at the Patriot League Indoor Championships over the weekend.
Brown, a senior, successfully defended his gold medal (6.80) from the 2019 championships while improving on his time from last year's victory (6.81). In the preliminary round, Brown broke his own school record set at the Bison Opener in December for the third time this season (6.75) while also tying the Patriot League Championship Record set by Ben Sims in 2016. The senior managed to win gold just over 60 miles from his hometown of Wynnewood, Pa. at Rauch Fieldhouse over the weekend.Â
The gold medal marks the third straight season that Brown has managed to place in the top four in the 60 at the Patriot League Indoor Championships, and he has now won the event in three meets this season.     Brown also scored in the 200 in placing sixth (22.48).Â
Brown and the rest of the Bucknell track and field team will now set their sights on the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Boston next weekend.Â
