About the Bison
• Bucknell is off to a 1-2 start following its first weekend of the spring season. The Bison picked up a 4-3 win over Niagara on Saturday, winning four out of six singles matches. Bucknell also picked up a win in the top doubles spot.
• Freshman Dax Seidlin, junior Sofia Ayuso, senior Jill Auteri, and freshman Chloe Zilkha each grabbed their first singles wins of the season in the victory over Niagara. Zilkha clinched the win for Bucknell with a 6-2, 6-1 win in the final singles match.
• Leavy is still in search of her first singles win of the season, but the senior forced a third set in two of the three matches last weekend.
• Seidlin and Leavy are 3-0 in doubles play to begin the season, playing in the number spot. The duo grabbed a 6-0 win in the Niagara match.
• The Bison were without sophomore Daniela Bellini, who played in the number one singles spot throughout last season, in the opening weekend. Bellini expects to be back this weekend. Bellini finished last spring with a 14-6 record in singles.
• The Bison are 6-2 when playing at the Central PA Tennis Center dating back to the start of 2019 spring season.
Scouting Wagner
• Wagner has yet to compete this spring, but went 3-0 in duals during the fall season.
• Wagner finished 5-11 last year and 2-3 within the Northeast Conference.
• Bucknell last faced the Seahawks in 2018 and picked up a 7-0 win in Easton, Pa.
Scouting Saint Francis
• Saint Francis is already in its fourth weekend of spring tennis and is off to an 0-7 start.
• The Red Flash dropped a pair of 7-0 matches against Patriot League opponents Navy and Lehigh.
• Bucknell picked up a 5-2 win over the Red Flash in South Williamsport last season.
• Saint Francis participated in the Bucknell Invitational in the fall.
Up Next
• Bucknell will have some time off before jumping back into play on Friday, Feb. 21 with a home match vs. La Salle. The Bison also host Marist on Sunday, Feb. 23.
