Bucknell Men's Basketball Signs Three to National Letters of Intent

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell head men's basketball coach Nathan Davis has announced that Josh Bascoe, Elvin Edmonds IV and Ian Motta have signed National Letters of Intent and will join the Bison program next fall as members of the Class of 2025.
Bascoe is a 6'0" guard from Milton, Ontario who attends high school at Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, Vermont. Edmonds, a 6'2" guard, is a native of Hopewell, Virginia, and will join the program out of Hopewell High School. Motta is a 6'6" forward from Allen (Texas) High School.
"We couldn't be more excited to have Josh, Elvin and Ian join us next year," said Davis. "They are perfect fits for Bucknell on and off the court, and they will all be great additions to our team. All three are tremendous competitors, and we feel that they have the ability to step in and contribute right from day one."

Nathan Davis on Josh Bascoe: "Josh is really quick and he can really shoot it. He is adept at using ball screens and getting in the lane to either score or pass."
ELVIN EDMONDS IV

Born Oct. 20, 2001 in Petersburg, Va. … son of Elvin and Jackie Edmonds … has three sisters, Imani, Alexis and Erin … Imani is a member of the women's basketball team at Navy … both parents played basketball at St. Paul's College in Virginia … father is his coach at Hopewell High School … has already earned two First Team All-State and one Second Team All-State honors … three-time All-Metro and All-Region … named Region 3A Player of the Year and Progress Index Player of the Year … team MVP and Outstanding Offensive Player … averaged 21.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.9 steals per game as a junior … enters his senior year ranked fourth on his school's all-time scoring list with 1,455 points and is the career record-holder for 3-pointers with 218 … set a school record with 10 threes in a single game, and his .390 career 3FG% is also a school record … has helped his team to a regional championship … team has captured two Littlepage Classic titles and one Tri-Cities Tournament title … plays AAU ball for Team Loaded.
Nathan Davis on Elvin Edmonds IV: "Elvin can flat out shoot it from deep range. He is a point guard who can also really score if need be. He handles the ball very well and is a true floor general who can command the offense. He has great strength and quickness and can really get the ball up and down the floor north-south."
IAN MOTTA

Born March 3, 2003 in Santurce, Puerto Rico … son of Javier and Amy Motta … has an older sister, Hannah … part of the Class of 2021 at Allen High School, where he has helped the basketball team to a 64-10 record over the last three seasons, including a 31-6 mark and a District 9-6A championship last season … First Team All-District selection as a junior after logging 8.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game on a star-studded team … .375 3FG% as a junior … has been named team captain for his senior year … plays AAU ball with Texas Impact.
Nathan Davis on Ian Motta: "Ian is an extremely versatile player who we could play anywhere from the two through four spots. He is a very athletic, above-the-rim type player, and he has a quick release on his shot. We think that he is going to be a real matchup problem with his size on the wing."
