This Week in Bucknell Athletics

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Home men's and women's basketball, wrestling, and men's and women's swimming & diving competitions highlight the week ahead in Bison Athletics. Sojka Pavilion is the place to be on Wednesday evening, when the Bison women's basketball team hosts American in a rematch of last year's Patriot League championship game. Despite playing three of its first four on the road, Bucknell is 4-0 in Patriot League play and tied with Lehigh atop the PL standings (those two teams will meet on Saturday in Bethlehem). Like all weekday home women's basketball games, Wednesday's clash with American is a 6 p.m. start.

Bucknell and Lehigh have had quite a rivalry in men's basketball through the years, and the Mountain Hawks will visit Sojka Pavilion on Saturday night in a game that will be televised on WQMY throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. The Bison are off to a 3-1 start in Patriot League play and sit one game behind first-place Colgate. Bucknell visits American on Wednesday before hosting Lehigh.

The Bison swimmers and divers will compete at home once again on Saturday when Boston College visits Kinney Natatorium. The women are now 8-1 in dual meets this season after sweeping Johns Hopkins and Army at home this past weekend. This will be the final home meet of the year, and the men's and women's teams will celebrate Senior Day prior to the 1 p.m. competition against Boston College.

The Bison wrestling team looks to bounce back from Friday's heartbreaking one-point loss at Navy with a pair of home duals against EIWA foes this weekend. Harvard comes to Davis Gym on Saturday at 2 p.m., followed by Brown on Sunday at noon. Both matches will be streamed live on the Patriot League Network at PatriotLeague.tv.

Also on Sunday, the Bison men's tennis team will battle Fordham at the Central Pennsylvania Tennis Center in South Williamsport.
