Blair Named Patriot League Runner of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa.—Ashley Blair has been tabbed as the Patriot League Female Cross Country Runner of the Week after taking first at the Pitt Panther Opener on Friday evening.
Blair held off Pitt's Brenda Ayuk to cross the line in a time of 14:13.36 to help the Bison take second overall to the host Panthers. The First Team All-Patriot League selection last season continued her strong form to begin her junior campaign. Blair also took first in the indoor 3k, as well as taking bronze in the 10k and fifth in the 5k during the track season. The first-place finish for Blair highlighted a strong team effort at the meet, with five Bison runners placing in the top 20.
Blair and the rest of the squad will travel to Colgate to get a preview of the Patriot League Championship course at the Harry Lang Invite on Saturday, Sept. 7.
