Seven from Women's Water Polo Earn ACWPC Academic Honors

Pogue Named to Outstanding List for Third Straight Season
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Bucknell University women's water polo team, which ended the season ranked no. 17 in CWPA Poll, had seven student-athletes receive academic honors, the Association announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bison wrapped up a historic season by notching the second-most wins in program history (25), while the No. 17 ranking to close the season was also the highest in program history.
Bucknell also earned an ACWPC Team Award given to teams that achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00. The Bison finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.23 during the spring semester.
Nominations were made by head coaches with student-athletes recognized on three levels based on their GPA: Outstanding (3.71 to 4.0), Superior (3.41 to 3.70) and Excellent (3.20 to 3.40).
Gigi Rojahn and Hayley Pogue both earned the highest honor of Outstanding from the ACWPC over the last semester. Pogue has now earned Outstanding honors in each of her three seasons at Bucknell.
ACWPC Honorable Mention All-American selection Ally Furano made the list after earning Superior accolades for the second consecutive year, while Marcela Herrera and Eliza Romeyn both picked up awards after making the list in 2018.

Marcela Herrera, So., Biology, Superior
Paige Furano, Fr., Neuroscience Excellent
