Men's Basketball Places Seven on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Seven members of the 2018-19 Bucknell men's basketball team, representing half of the roster, earned spots on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll on Monday. It was another strong semester for the Bison academically, as the squad combined for a 3.03 grade-point average during the 2019 spring semester.
In order to earn a spot on the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must achieve a minimum 3.20 GPA during the semester of his/her sport's championship season. Headlining Bucknell's list of Honor Roll members are seniors Nate Jones and Matt O'Reilly, who are the only two seniors in the league to be so honored for a fourth straight year. Fellow senior Nate Sestina also made the Honor Roll, as did junior Ben Robertson and all three of Bucknell's first-year players: Walter Ellis, Andrew Funk and Kahliel Spear.Â
Bucknell's seven Honor Roll selections were second-most in the league, trailing only Lafayette's eight selections.
