LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell's Tegan Warren earned a spot on the Welsh National Team, which is helmed by Bison head women's lacrosse coach Remington Steele.
Warren is among 18 players who will represent Wales at the European Lacrosse Championships from July 15-25 in Natanya, Israel. The Welsh squad will enter the women's tournament ranked second among European teams.
"I am thrilled that Tegan is getting the opportunity to represent Wales and Bucknell in Israel this summer," Steele said. "This will be an amazing opportunity for her to compete against great competition from all over the world and will help prepare her for her senior year."
As a junior in 2019, Warren enjoyed a breakout year offensively, finishing second among Bison in points (30) and goals (19) and third in assists (11). Most notably, she registered a season-best four points in back-to-back games against Holy Cross (2g-2a) and Boston University (1g-3a). The Bernardsville, New Jersey native will enter her senior year with 40 career points (25g-15a) in 33 career games, 13 of which were starts over the past two campaigns.
A year ago, Warren was selected to Wales's 18-player roster for a home internationals tournament in March 2019 but was unable to participate due to her commitment to Bucknell.
