About the Bison
• Bucknell finished the regular season at 13-6 overall and 3-2 in the Patriot League, closing the season with wins in four of its final six matches.
• The Bison are 11-4 all-time in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Tournament. Six of their 11 wins came by shutout.
• This is the sixth time Bucknell has been the fourth seed in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Tournament. The Bison advanced to the semifinal round as the No. 4 seed with a 5-2 win over Lehigh in 1995, with a 5-3 win over Lafayette in 1997, with a 4-0 win over Lehigh in 2014, and with a 4-2 win over Lehigh in 2016. They lost as the fourth seed in the quarterfinal round to Army in 2001.
• Freshman Daniela Bellini enters the Patriot League Tournament with an unbeaten record of 5-0 against conference opponents during the spring, playing every match on court one. Three of those opponents are returning All-Patriot League players. She can add a fourth league win over an All-PL player if she beats Kateri Martin on Friday. Bellini defeated her 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 during the regular season. Bellini won six straight singles matches to close the season.
• Cayla Koch went 4-1 against league opponents while playing on court two. She went 14-5 overall during the spring, while Paige Leavy was one spot behind her in the lineup and went 12-5.
• Sofia Ayuso also had a winning spring record, going 13-6 while playing on courts four and five. Mishi Papich (7-12) and Jill Auteri (7-9) round out the Bison lineup.
Scouting Loyola (Md.)
• Loyola (Md.) is 14-7 overall and 3-4 in the Patriot League after losing to Johns Hopkins to close the regular season.Â
• The Greyhounds had league wins over Lehigh, Holy Cross, and Lafayette, and losses to Army West Point, Boston University, Bucknell, and Navy.Â
• Sophomore Kateri Martin was a First Team All-Patriot League selection last season.
Series History
• Bucknell is 8-3 all-time against Loyola (Md.), including wins in five of the past six meetings.Â
