Fay Wins Second Consecutive Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. --Â Senior pole vaulter Matt Fay has been selected for his second straight Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week after eclipsing his personal-best in the pole vault at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational.Â

The award for Fay comes one week after he tied his previous personal-best at the Penn State National Open. At the Scarlet and White Invite, Fay registered a height of 16-6 3/4 breaking his previous best of 16-4 ¾ in the event. He continues to hold the top mark in the Patriot League and is second on Bucknell's all-time list. The award is Fay's third Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week this season.Â

Fay and the rest of the Bucknell squad will host the Bison Opener on Friday before taking part in the Patriot League Indoor Championships.  Â
