Men’s Golf Finishes T-6th at Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bucknell men's golf team concluded its 2019 fall season Saturday at the Lehigh Invitational. The Bison posted a team score of 301 – 14 better than Friday's first round – and finished in a tie for sixth place in a field of 14 teams at Saucon Valley Country Club.
Chris Tanabe made six birdies on the way to an even-par 72, helping him secure his fourth top-10 finish in six fall events. Tanabe shot 149 over 36 holes to finish in a tie for 10th place. His 72.1 scoring average is the best in team history for a fall season, and it is second-best in any single season behind J.P. Raftery's 71.6 in the spring of 2017.
Elsewhere for the Bison on Saturday, Jackson Bussell finished birdie-birdie to shoot 75, Blake Wisdom carded a 76, Jack Gardner shot 78 and Peter Bradbeer finished with a 79.
Holy Cross paced the field with a final-round 291 to win the team title by six shots over Army West Point. Holy Cross compiled a 592 36-hole score, with the Black Knights next at 598. First-round leader Rider fell to third, 10 strokes behind the Crusaders. Iona and Lafayette tied for fourth with 603 totals, followed by Bucknell and Siena at 616.
Army's Justin Williamson was the medalist with an even-par 144 (74-70). Oisin Deveruex of Iona and Austin Devereux of Rider finished one shot back.
