Fay Earns Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week Award

LEWISBURG, Pa.— Matt Fay has earned his second Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week award this season after tying his own personal-best in the pole vault on Friday at the Penn State National Open.
Fay's mark of 16-4 3/4 is the second-highest mark in school history, and ties his previous best that he set at the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships in February of last season. Fay finished fourth in the event at Penn State, and has now won two Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week honors to date this season.
Fay and the rest of the Bucknell Track & Field squad will travel to Boston, Mass. for the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 2.
