Bucknell Football's Hero Appreciation Game Set for Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell football team will salute military veterans, active duty servicemen and women, Gold Star Families and first responders at Saturday's Hero Appreciation Game against Sacred Heart.Â
Bucknell will offer free admission to these heroes. The Bison will also recognize veterans who were wounded in combat at halftime through their partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project.
Fans will be treated to a rock climbing wall and a touch-a-truck event, which will feature firetrucks, humvees and other military and first-response vehicles, on the football practice field before the 3 p.m. game.
In addition, the Bison will wear decals on their helmets to recognize the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
Tickets are on sale at the Campus Box Office, starting at $10 for adults, $6 for children (13-18) and $6 for seniors (62+). Admission is free for Bucknell students as well as children between the ages of 0 and 12. Fans can purchase tickets online at www.bucknell.edu/boxoffice or by calling 570-577-1000.
