LEWISBURG, Pa. – Rade Joksimovic was selected as the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Bucknell men's water polo team to a 4-0 showing at the Bison Invitational on Sept. 15-16.Â
Joksimovic paced the Bison attack during the tournament, totaling 17 goals and 19 assists to accumulate 36 points over the four-game stretch. His 36 points equaled his total from when he was named the Player of the Week on Sept. 3 following the Bruno Classic.Â
This time, Joksimovic was able to equal his point output in one less game played, averaging nine points per contest. Joksimovic assisted on a season-high eight goals during the Bison's matchup against Salem on Sept. 16 while scoring six goals for a 14-point output, also a season-best. He also finished six-for-six on sprints over the weekend.Â
Joksimovic's eight-assist performance against Salem was two shy of the school record. His fifth goal was the 300th of his career; he joined Scott Shulte, Jeff Hilk and Garrin Kapecki as the only Bison to reach the 300-goal mark for their career. Â
The Bison will have the week off from competition before returning to the pool at George Washington (Sept. 29, 2 p.m.), Navy (Sept. 29, 7 p.m.), and Johns Hopkins (Sept. 30, 12 p.m.)Â Â Â
