About the Bison
• Bucknell is 2-1 after posting wins over NJIT and Saint Peter's and a loss to Youngstown State at the season-opening Bucknell Invitational.
• Mimi Richards was named the year's first Bison Athlete of the Week after averaging 9.7 kills and 7.3 blocks at the Bucknell Invitational. She had 10 kills and 10 total blocks in the match against Youngstown State.
• Richards was also voted to the All-Tournament Team and was joined by teammate Alexa Bonanno.
• Freshman Vittoria Sottani made her collegiate debut while starting all three matches and came through with five aces on the weekend.
• The Bison continued their trend of being the top blocking team in the Patriot League. They averaged 3.00 per set through the first three matches.
• The Bison will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the start of the program on Oct. 6-7. More details will be released soon.

Scouting the Opponents
• Delaware State is 0-3 with losses to Missouri, James Madison, and Fairfield at the James Madison Tournament. The Hornets were picked fifth in the MEAC Preseason Poll.
• Call State Fullerton is 2-1 with wins over UMass Lowell and Montana and a loss to Akron at the Fullerton/Riverside Classic. The Titans were picked ninth in the Big West Preseason Poll.
• NJIT is 0-3 with losses to Youngstown State, Bucknell, and Saint Peter's at the Bucknell Invitational. Adrianna Nieto was voted to the All-Tournament Team for the second straight year.

Series History with the Opponents
• Bucknell is 4-0 with four shutout wins in the series history with Delaware State. The most recent win came in 2015. Blake Buchholz tallied eight kills and 10 digs in that match.
• Cal State Fullerton is 5-0 in the all-time series with the Bison. The teams haven't played since 2014.
• Bucknell is 3-1 in the all-time series with NJIT. All three wins came during Anna Allison's time as head coach, including a 3-0 victory at the Bucknell Invitational last weekend. Mimi Richards had five total blocks, while Vittoria Sottani finished with two aces.

• Bucknell will play three matches at the Hartford Invitational on Sept. 8-9. The Bison will take on Niagara, Hartford, and Brown at the event.
