LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell head women's lacrosse coach Remington Steele announced Friday that Princess Livingston has joined his staff as an assistant coach.Â
"Princess is a great coach and a proven recruiter," Steele said. "She brings a wealth of experience and a passion for the game that is second to none. I am incredibly excited to have her as a part of our program."
Livingston spent the past two seasons as the head coach at Central Connecticut State, where she mentored three all-conference selections in 2017. Before her stint with the Blue Devils, she was an assistant coach at her alma mater, Villanova, for two campaigns.
With the Wildcats, Livingston served as the recruiting coordinator and worked closely with the defenders and midfielders. She installed new defensive schemes and prepared detailed scouting reports on Villanova's upcoming opponents. In 2015, the Wildcats enjoyed a breakout year, reaching the BIG EAST Tournament for the first time in program history and placing four student-athletes on the All-BIG EAST squad.
Before returning to her alma mater, Livingston spent a season as a graduate assistant coach at Mercer University and a season as an assistant coach at Mount Olive. She helped lay the foundation for both first-year programs, with the Trojans becoming only the seventh Division II team in NCAA history to finish above .500 during an inaugural season.
Livingston was a three-year starter at Villanova, first at midfield and then at defense as a senior. She graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology.
At Danbury High School, Livingston captured Honorable Mention All-America accolades as a senior and was twice named to the all-state and all-conference squads. She graduated with school records in single-season points (126), single-season caused turnovers (36) and career caused turnovers (73). She was later listed among the Danbury News Times's Top-25 Athletes of the Decade from Fairfield County.
