CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Freshman Aidan Krombolz won the javelin throw, and the Bison scored in bunches in the throws, jumps and hurdles to earn victories over Maryland (65-53) and Georgetown (83-27) on Friday at a quadrangular meet hosted by Virginia. Bucknell's only loss came to the Cavaliers, who outscored the Bison 76-45.
Krombolz, who was competing in his first career meet, took the top spot in the javelin with a toss of 209-11. He now ranks seventh on Bucknell's all-time top-10 list. Teammates Bo Burleigh (4th, 187-5), Jordan Montero (5th, 186-2), Terry Hall (6th, 185-9), and James Kelly (175-1) followed, as the Bison went 1-4-5-6-7 in the javelin.
