
Women's Lacrosse Hosts Villanova, Travels to Wagner

NOTICE: THE TIME OF WEDNESDAY'S VILLANOVA GAME HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 5 P.M.
LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's lacrosse team is set to welcome Villanova to Graham Field on Wednesday, Feb. 21 for its home opener at 4 p.m.
After taking on the Wildcats, the Bison will travel to Wagner for a contest on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m.

• The Bucknell women's lacrosse team is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2018. Established in 1978, the program has compiled a 209-382 all-time record.
• The Bison are currently 1-1 (0-0 Patriot League) on the season.
• In 2017, Bucknell went 9-8 (4-5 Patriot League). The Bison, who finished sixth in the Patriot League a year ago, were picked to place in the same spot in 2018, as voted on by the league's coaches and sports information directors in the preseason poll.
• Bucknell's captains are seniors Katherine Doyle, Sarah Galzerano and Mary Margaret Kenney.
• The Bison need to replace both of their 2017 All-Patriot League honorees in midfielder Maddy Molinari and defender Annie Gilbertson. A year ago, Molinari led Bucknell with 37 goals, 11 more than the next player, while Gilbertson paced the Patriot League in caused turnovers per game (2.12).
• Remington Steele was named the Bucknell women's lacrosse team's 12th head coach in August 2017. This is his first collegiate head coaching position.
Inside the Hofstra Box Score
• Bucknell fell to Hofstra, 13-1, on Feb. 17 in Hempstead, N.Y.
• The Pride raced out to a 6-0 lead in the game's first six minutes and never looked back. While the Bison limited Hofstra to just three goals in the second half, they couldn't overcome their early deficit.
• Preseason Honorable Mention All-American Alyssa Parrella recorded five points to lead the Pride. She was one of nine Hofstra players with at least one point.
• Jamie DeWitt, who stopped 11 shots to lead Bucknell to a 5-4 overtime win at Robert Morris on Feb. 10, nearly reached the double digits in saves for the second-straight game. The junior finished with nine, including six in the opening half.
• With 8:08 remaining in the game, Lillie Hunt got the Bison on the board. It was the sophomore's first collegiate goal.
• Callie DeWitt led Bucknell with four ground balls while Jessie Britton collected three. The DeWitt twins and Katherine Doyle tied for the team lead with two caused turnovers.
