Joksimovic Featured in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd"

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell men's water polo standout Rade Joksimovic was featured in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" section this week. Â
Joksimovic was recognized after his stellar performance at the Bison Invitational on Sept. 15-16. He totaled 36 points on 17 goals and 19 assists to lead Bucknell to a 4-0 record. His 14-point outburst on six goals and eight assists was a season-high; he also finished six-for-six on sprints over the weekend.
The junior attacker has been a consistent force for the Bison during his tenure in Lewisburg, leading the Bison to a 53-19 record to date while earning back-to-back Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Player of the Year awards.Â
Joksimovic also helped his team win the 2016 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Championship to advance to the NCAA Tournament.Â
Joksimovic is currently fourth on the all-time career goals list and fifth in career points for the Bison. He also holds the single-game record for goals in one match at 14, which came against Connecticut College on Nov. 18, 2016. Â
"Faces in the Crowd" highlights six amateur athletes each week and has been included in Sports Illustrated since 1956. Over 15,000 athletes have been featured since its initial release.  Â
Joksimovic and the Bison will be in action on Saturday and Sunday at Kinney Natatorium beginning with a 12 p.m. contest against La Salle.          Â
