Men's Water Polo Downs George Washington, 12-9

BALTIMORE, Md. – Marko Djordjevic netted four goals and three assists to lift the No. 17 Bucknell men's water polo team to a 12-9 victory over No. 18 George Washington Saturday evening at Newton White Athletic Center.
Four other Bison enjoyed multi-point outings against the Colonials in Tommy Stupp (3g-2a), Rade Joksimovic (2g-2a), Cooper Dolan (1g-2a) and Cullen Jacuzzi (1g-2a).
At halftime, Bucknell held a slim 4-3 lead. The third quarter proved to be the difference in the game at the Bison outscored the Colonials, 4-1, to open up an 8-4 advantage.
Jeff Hagen, who Saturday afternoon had a six-goal outing against Johns Hopkins, drew six ejections. Stupp led the way with seven steals.
In net, Charlie Niehaus reached the double digits in saves for the third-straight game, making 10.
With the win, Bucknell improves to 6-6 (2-0 MAWPC). The Bison next travel to Navy for their third MAWPC game of the weekend tomorrow at 11 a.m.
