Women's Water Polo Concludes Regular Season with 8-7 Loss to Brown

HARTWICK, N.Y. – Emily Konishi and Colleen Barron scored two goals apiece, and Bucknell outscored Brown 2-1 in the second half, but the Bison lost their season finale by an 8-7 score to the Bears Sunday at Hartwick. Bucknell concluded the regular season 13-16, 2-6 in the CWPA, while the Bears improved to 18-5, 2-2.
Brown built a 7-5 halftime lead thanks to a five-goal second period. Neither team scored in the third period. The Bears led 8-6 before Konishi scored the game's final goal in the fourth period.
Marta Considine posted a team-high four ejections drawn for the Bison, who totaled 10 as a team.
Manuela Herrera registered five saves in cage for Bucknell.
The Bison are now idle until the CWPA Championship at Indiana in three weeks.
