ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Lisa Jouravleva improved to 7-0, but Bucknell lost 6-1 to Navy in a Patriot League women's tennis match Sunday at the USNA Tennis Courts.
Jouravleva kept her unbeaten record intact with a huge win on court one, knocking off two-time All-Patriot League honoree Amanda Keller in three sets, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5. Keller was a First Team selection last season after going 6-2 against opponents.
Jouravleva improved to 2-0 at No. 1 singles. She also has a 2-0 record on court two and went 3-0 on court three while she worked her way up the lineup after not playing during the fall season.
Bucknell went 2-1 on the weekend, including wins over Loyola and Coppin State. The Bison are 9-6 overall and 1-2 in the Patriot League.
Navy, which received four first-place votes and was picked second in the Patriot League Preseason Poll, improved to 15-9 overall and 3-1 in the conference.
The Bison will play a league match at Lehigh on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
