LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell women's golf team has made a schedule change this weekend and will now be headed to Annapolis, Maryland, for the Navy Spring Tournament. The Bison had been scheduled to attend the Crusader/Jaguar Challenge in Indiana, but that event was postponed.
Navy's tournament will be comprised of a four-team field featuring the Bison, Midshipmen, Lehigh and Georgetown. The teams will play 18 holes both Saturday and Sunday at the USNA Golf Course. Play is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. both days.
This will be Bucknell's first tournament action since the Low Country Intercollegiate in Hilton Head back on March 19-20. The Bison finished 14th there with rounds of 320-326. Lindsay Dodovich turned in a top-20 finish (T-16th) after posting 76-79.
Dodovich will be back in the lineup this weekend, joined by Jen Lee, Emily Larson, Katie Childers and Eunbbie Kim. Callie Nelson will be playing as an individual.
Childers has the best spring scoring average on the team with an 80.5, while Dodovich's 80.0 mark over the fall and spring seasons leads the squad.
Bucknell last appeared at the USNA course at the 2015 Patriot League Championship. Lee's second-round 78 was the team's best score of the week, as the Bison posted team totals of 331-326-333.
This will be Bucknell's final tournament prior to the 2016 Patriot League Championship, which will be held at the Bucknell Golf Club Apr. 23-24.
