VILLANOVA, Pa. – In its fourth match decided by one point this season, the Bucknell women's tennis team came up short in a 4-3 loss at Villanova on Tuesday. Despite the loss, the Bison return home with a winning record of 6-5, while the Wildcats improved to 6-6.

Bucknell started off strong, securing the doubles point with a pair of wins. Maria Cioffi and Michele Urbinati were 6-4 winners at No. 1, while Lisa Jouravleva and Lauren Fishbein recorded at 6-3 victory at No. 2.
Cioffi rolled to her seventh straight win with a 6-0, 6-3 verdict at No. 1 singles. She improved to 8-2 during the spring and 17-4 overall. It has been over a month since her last loss, a three-set defeat at Niagara on Feb. 27.
Mishi Papich didn't have much trouble in her match at No. 4 singles, winning 6-0, 6-4. The freshman upped her record to 5-3 during the spring.
