Six Men's Water Polo Players Earn ACWPC All-Academic Honors

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Six Bucknell men's water polo players earned All-Academic Awards from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) on Thursday. As a team, Bucknell's cumulative grade-point average was 3.08, ranking it 14th nationally.
Student-athletes were recognized in three levels: 3.20 to 3.40 GPA (Excellent), 3.41 to 3.70 GPA (Superior) and 3.71 to 4.0 (Outstanding). Bucknell had two players recognized in each group.
Sophomore Jeff Hagen and freshman Johnathan Coleman were in the Outstanding category, while sophomore Charlie Niehaus and senior Max Wilder were in the Superior category. Junior all-conference performer Sean Daley and freshman Marko Djordjevic were listed in the Excellent grouping.
Overall, 326 student-athletes were recognized by the ACWPC with GPAs of at least 3.2.
Bucknell finished with an 18-13 record in 2015, its most wins since the 2007 campaign. The Bison were ranked 20th nationally in the final poll.
