LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's track and field team placed two student-athletes on the Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Academic All-Patriot League Team, announced by the conference on Friday. The Bison are represented by junior Luke Giugliano and senior Grant Reynolds, who both earned the honor for the first time in their careers.
A mechanical engineering major, Giugliano was the only student-athlete to post a perfect 4.0 grade-point average on the academic squad. He has qualified for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in each of his three seasons at Bucknell. Giugliano scored for the Bison at the Patriot League Indoor Championships, earning top-10 marks in the 3,000 and 5,000-meter events.
Reynolds, an electrical engineering major, has also earned a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in his first three seasons at Bucknell. The senior received Second Team All-PL accolades with his performance in the 60-meter hurdles at the indoor championships. His time of 8.12 was a personal-record and ranks third in school history. Reynolds also scored for the Bison with top-10 finishes in the 400 and as a member of the 4x400 relay squad to help the team to a fourth place finish.
Members of the team will return to action on Mar. 5-6 with a trip to Boston, Massachusetts, to compete in the ECAC Indoor Championships.
