HEADLINES
• Bucknell travels to Hamilton, New York on Saturday with revenge on its mind after Colgate took the first meeting of the season 84-73 at Sojka Pavilion on Jan. 16. The Raiders have beaten the Bison three straight times, its longest streak against Bucknell since winning three in a row in 1995-96 and 1996-97.
• Bucknell's lead in the Patriot League was reduced to two games on Wednesday. The Bison dropped to 10-3 with an 80-65 home loss to Lehigh, while Navy, Boston University and Lehigh all improved to 8-5.
• Bucknell is 10-3 after 13 Patriot League games. That comes on the heels of a seven-game losing streak to close out the nonleague slate. The Bison have never had a winning season in which it endured a downturn of that length. Prior to this season, Bucknell had 14 losing streaks of seven or more games — 12 coming prior to 1971 — and finished below .500 in each of
those seasons.
• The Bison have scored 80 or more points 12 times and 90 or more four times, and they rank second in the Patriot League in scoring at 78.5 points per game. Back on Jan. 9 they had a 98-point showing against Holy Cross — their most points in a league game in 22 years — in which they knocked down 16 3-pointers. Bucknell made 40 field goals and tossed in 94 points
against Army West Point on Jan. 30. The Bison rank 58th nationally in points per game.
• Including his 40-point game at Army West Point on Jan. 2, senior Chris Hass is averaging a team-best 17.1 points per game. That is the third-best mark in the Patriot League behind Army's Tanner Plomb and Lehigh's Tim Kempton. Hass canned a career-high seven 3-pointers
in a 29-point performance against N.C. State on Dec. 5. Hass also had 26 against Wake Forest on Nov. 15 and has had at least 18 points in all but six games so far. Hass became Bucknell's 39th all-time 1,000-point scorer in the game against Columbia, and he now ranks 16th on Bucknell's career scoring list (1,278).
• Sophomore point guard Stephen Brown has been sensational in Patriot League play, averaging 11.6 points per game on 59.1% shooting with 69 assists, 19 steals and just 20 turnovers and 19 fouls. After scoring a career-high 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting in the win at Boston University on Jan. 23, Brown was named the Lids Team Sports Patriot League Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
• After starting Patriot League play 6-2, Colgate has dropped four of its last five and currently sits in a tie for fifth place in the Patriot League. The Raiders have been idle since Monday, when they fell 82-72 at Army West Point. Point guard Austin Tillotson is the team's leading scorer at 14.0 points per game, and he also ranks second in the Patriot League in assists at 5.3 per game.
Jordan Swopshire has made 50 3-pointers and averages 10.8 ppg, and Tom Rivard also scores in double figures at an even 10.0 ppg.

• As Patriot League rivals, Bucknell has won 41 of the 57 meetings, including 21 of 26 in Lewisburg.

• Bucknell is 13-5 in its last 18 games in Hamilton.
• Bucknell entered last season with a 10-game series winning streak over Colgate, but the Raiders swept the Bison for the first time since 1997-98.
• In last year's first meeting in Hamilton, Bucknell led 33-20 at the half, but Colgate seemingly could not miss in the second half and won 68-62. The Raiders opened the half on a 12-0 run to get right back in the game, and they went on to shoot 60.0% from the floor and hit 7 of 10 from 3-point distance in a 48-point second half. Damon Sherman-Newsome scored 24 points for
Colgate, while Nana Foulland paced the Bison with a career-high 17. In the rematch at Sojka Pavilion, Austin Tillotson capped off a 24-point night by scoring the final seven points of the game, including a jumper with one second remaining, to lift the Raiders to a 71-69 win. Chris Hass led the Bison with 18 points.
• Back on Jan. 16 in Lewisburg, Tom Rivard had 23 points and nine rebounds, and Jordan Swopshire hit five of Colgate's 13 3-pointers en route to 17 points, as the visiting Raiders ended Bucknell's five-game winning streak with an 84-73 decision. Hass led the Bison with 18 points.
