Football Sets Record with 35 Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. – For the second consecutive year the Bucknell football program established a record number of student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Thirty-five Bison were named to the Honor Roll, placing Bucknell second in the league behind Holy Cross' 37 honorees.
Bucknell has now had more than 30 Academic Honor Roll selections in three straight years. There have been 534 Bison recognized since 1990, including 101 the last three years.
Included in Bucknell's list of honorees were Academic All-Patriot League selections Matt DelMauro and Clayton Hoffmaster as well as freshman Joe Arcangelo, who was one of eight football players across the league to post a 4.0 grade-point average.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's fall championship sports.
A total of 199 football student-athletes across the league were on the Academic Honor Roll.
