LEWISBURG, Pa. – Suzanne Raffaele '03, a 2014 Bucknell Athletics Hall of Fame inductee and the all-time leading goal-scorer in the history of the Bucknell women's lacrosse program, was named to the Patriot League 25th Anniversary Team on Tuesday.
A four-time All-Patriot League selection and the 2003 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, Raffaele compiled a school-record 144 goals during her collegiate career that spanned 2000-03. At the time, Raffaele was just the fourth Bucknell player to reach the 100-goal mark, and in 2003 she became the sixth player in conference history to earn All-Patriot League honors in all four years of her career.
As a senior, she was named to the Brine/IWLCA All-Region Second Team, becoming only the third Bison to achieve that honor. Not only was Raffaele the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2003, but she also earned Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors and was the lone Patriot League player selected for the North-South All-Star Game. Raffaele produced four straight 30-goal seasons, and her 173 career points was also a school record at the time of her graduation and now ranks No. 3.
The 25th Anniversary Team members are listed below by school, with seasons representing the athlete's years of competition in the Patriot League. Each school that participates in women's lacrosse selected 25 players in the voting for the 25th Anniversary Team, and could not vote for its own student-athletes.
