Kathryn Oram Named to U-23 National Rowing Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The United States Rowing Association recently announced that Bucknell rising senior Kathryn Oram (Mendham, N.J./Oak Knoll School of Holy Child) has been selected to the Under 23 U.S. National Rowing Team. Oram is one of 59 U.S. rowers that will compete at the upcoming World Rowing U-23 Championships July 22-26 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Oram, who rows with Vesper Boat Club in Philadelphia, will compete in the lightweight women's double scull event along with Jennifer Sager. Sager, who also rows with Vesper Boat Club, was a member of the Trinity College varsity eight that won a gold medal at the Division III NCAA National Championship in May.
The five-day World Rowing U-23 Championships will feature U.S. crews in 20 events.
Oram has been a multiple-year member of Bucknell's lightweight eight and has also rowed with the second varsity eight.
