LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell women's lacrosse team has placed 23 members of its 30-person roster on the 2015 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Among the Bison honorees are five seniors who made the Honor Roll for the fourth straight year and three student-athletes who produced a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
In order to land a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must achieve at least a 3.20 GPA during his/her sport's championship semester. This spring, the Bison women's lacrosse squad combined for a terrific 3.41 team average, led by 4.0s from seniors Carly Downs and Cori Thielemann, and junior Sam Rickels. Of the 23 Honor Roll qualifiers, 17 also made the Bucknell Dean's List with a 3.50 GPA or better.
Downs, Thielemann, Wallace, Chloe Chou, Emily Kookogey, Blair McDonald and Claire Switala (pictured below) all made the Honor Roll for the fourth year in a row. They were part of a group of 13 four-time honorees from across all league members. McDonald also made the 11-player Academic All-Patriot League Team this spring.

"I'm am so impressed and very proud of our players for their academic achievements," said head coach Randall Goldsborough. "We have always stressed that academics are the primary priority as a student-athlete at Bucknell, and they all work very hard to ensure their academic successes."
