LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell women's rowing seniors Amanda Chikowski (Media, Pa./The Episcopal Academy), Kumari Lewis (Atlantic Beach, Fla./Peddie School), Kathleen Hickes (Fogelsville, Pa./Parkland) and Andrea Seifert (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Hathaway Brown) were each named All-Patriot League on Tuesday by the league office. Chikowski and Lewis were First Team selections, while Hickes and Seifert were members of the Second Team. Bucknell's four honorees were second-most in the league behind champion Navy's seven.
All four Bison recognized were members of the varsity eight that finished runner-up by just three-tenths of a second to Navy at last Friday's Patriot League Championship. Bucknell finished second in the team standings as its second varsity eight and varsity four earned silver medals as well.
Chikowski's honor marked the fourth consecutive year she has been named First Team All-Patriot League. She is the first person in league history to be named to the First Team four times. Fellow first-teamer Lewis earned her first career All-Patriot League honor.
Hickes was the Second Team coxswain for the second straight year, while Seifert earned her first All-Patriot League honor.
Bucknell has now had 34 different student-athletes combine for 49 All-League citations since 2006.
The Patriot League Championship consisted of races involving the varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four. Navy won all three races to claim its second title in the last three years.
