Hannah Sunday Named to CWPA Championship All-Tournament Second Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell women's water polo junior Hannah Sunday (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) earned her second award from the CWPA in the last week Sunday afternoon. A team co-captain, Sunday was named to the CWPA Championship All-Tournament Second Team, just three days after being named All-CWPA First Team for her play during the regular season.
A two-time CWPA Championship All-Tournament Second Team selection, Sunday totaled seven goals during Bucknell's five games this past weekend. She finished the season with a team-high 56, establishing a new career high.
Sunday is the first Bison to be named All-Tournament at the CWPA Championship in back-to-back years since Kandis Canonica in 2010 and 2011.
Sunday started all 28 games this season and 55 over the last two years and her career-high 57 points ranked second on the team. She now has 125 career goals to rank 15th in program history. Sunday also led Bucknell with 90 ejections drawn this year.
The Bison finished in seventh place in the 10-team field at the CWPA Championship. Seventh-seeded Bucknell was 3-2 over the weekend with wins over Connecticut College, Mercyhurst and George Washington. The Bison finished the season with a 14-14 overall record, their first .500 record since 2010.
