LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Blair McDonald, a senior midfielder on the Bison women's lacrosse team, earned one of the 12 spots on the Academic All-Patriot League Team on Wednesday. McDonald carries a 3.80 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in markets, innovation and design.
McDonald started nine games for the Bison this spring, and her blazing speed made her a key player in transition. She finished her career with 12 goals in 47 appearances, with a high of eight goals in 2012.
Away from Graham Field, McDonald is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma, Delta Mu Delta and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies. Last semester she took part in the business advisory program with Ernst and Young, LLC, and last summer she interned in the marketing, sales and design division at Vera Wang in New York City.
McDonald is a member of the Bucknell Academic Committee and the Bucknell Bison Leadership Academy. During her summer and winter breaks from college, she works as assistant director, site manager and coach with Sum it Up for Girls, a youth lacrosse organization in her hometown of Summit, New Jersey.
McDonald, who also minors in Spanish at Bucknell, has volunteered with the American Red Cross, where she helped organize a student CPR Carnival, where 220 students were taught CPR. She has also volunteered at the Riverwoods senior community in Lewisburg, with Joining Forces, and with the Lewisburg Food Pantry.
