Cioffi Named Patriot League Women's Tennis Player of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Maria Cioffi has her sights set on becoming the top women's tennis player in the Patriot League this season. She took one step closer to doing that by going 2-0 against conference opponents this week and receiving the league's Corvias Player of the Week Award.
Playing at No. 1 singles, Cioffi beat opponents from Lehigh and Army last week. She finished the regular season with a perfect 6-0 record against conference opponents. The junior enters postseason play with an 11-7 record and wins in nine of her past 10 matches.
The Bison will open postseason play on Friday when they compete in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament.
