Stefan Aleksic Named to CWPA Championship All-Tournament Team for Fourth Straight Year

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's water polo senior Stefan Aleksic (Belgrade, Serbia/Sport Gymnasium) was named to the CWPA Championship All-Tournament First Team, it was announced Sunday following the three-day event at MIT. Aleksic, who has earned CWPA All-Tournament honors four consecutive years, helped the Bison to a sixth-place finish in the 12-team field this past weekend.
Aleksic, who was named to the Second Team in 2012 and 2013 and the First Team in 2014 and 2015, is Bucknell's first four-time honoree since Garrin Kapecki from 1985-88. Scott Schulte (1977-80) is the only other Bison to be cited four straight years.
The CWPA Championship Rookie of the Year in 2012, Aleksic totaled 10 goals, four assists, 10 steals and five ejections drawn in four games this past weekend.
A three-time All-CWPA Southern Division honoree, Aleksic finished this season with a career-high 67 goals, 30 assists and 97 points. In addition to leading Bucknell in goals and points, he posted a team-high 68 steals, which place him fifth on the program's single-season ledger.
On a career level, Aleksic will graduate ranked in the top 10 in program history in goals (213, 8th), assists (152, 7th) and points (365, 8th).
Aleksic helped Bucknell to an 18-13 record this year, its most wins since the 2007 season.
