Bison Basketball Teams Invite Fans for Events on Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Fans of Bucknell basketball can get an early look at both the men's and women's basketball teams on Saturday, as both squads will hold events that are open to the public. The Bison women are set to host their second annual “Breakfast with the Bison” event, while the men's team will open its doors for an intrasquad scrimmage. Both events will be held at Sojka Pavilion.
After a great turnout last season, the women's basketball team is excited to hold its “Breakfast with the Bison” event again this year. Breakfast and coffee will be provided to the fans beginning at 9 a.m. Fans can watch the team practice and are encouraged to stay after for a Q&A, a chance to meet the team and tour the locker room.
The Bucknell women are coming off an 18-12 season and their second straight fourth-place finish in the Patriot league. The team returns two former Patriot League Rookie of the Year recipients, a Second Team All-Patriot League selection in Claire DeBoer, and a talented group of incoming freshmen.
The Bison men have high hopes this season after winning the Patriot League regular season crown and receiving an automatic bid to the NIT last year. Fans can be the first to see this year's team, which returns a strong group of players, including a First Team All-Patriot League selection in Chris Hass.
The men's intrasquad scrimmage will begin at 11 a.m.
Single game tickets for home men's and women's basketball games are currently on sale. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online through the Campus Box Office. Tickets will also be available by calling the Campus Box Office at (570) 577-1000. The Campus Box Office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
