LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior forward Audrey Dotson had her best week of the season statistically in women's basketball's 1-1 start to conference play, including a double-double in Bucknell's come-from-behind 77-75 overtime win over Colgate on Wednesday at Sojka Pavilion. She was honored on Monday for the quality play by being named the 5th Quarter Fresh Bison Athlete of the Week.
In Bucknell's non-conference finale against Binghamton last week, Dotson hit a free throw late in the game to become the 21st player in program history to score 1,000 career points. She carried that momentum into conference play, beginning with a 19-point, nine-rebound performance in a tough loss to American.
Dotson helped the Bison bounce back with her double-double in the overtime win over Colgate. She scored a season-high 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to help the Bison improve to 9-4 overall, the program's best record this far into the season since the 2000-01 season.
Dotson is now 18th on the school's scoring list with 1,046 career points. She is also second on the team with 16 blocks this season and ranks fifth on the all-time list with 106 career blocks. With two more, she will tie Desire Almind (2000-04) for fourth.
