LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell shared league-high honors by placing six student-athletes on the Patriot League Men's Basketball Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Tuesday. Lehigh also claimed six selections, while American and Colgate had five each.
The 14 members of the Bison men's basketball squad combined for a 3.09 grade-point average in the spring, marking the 10th straight semester the team's GPA has been at least a 3.0. Graduate student Brian Fitzpatrick, who was named to the five-man Academic All-Patriot League Team in March, joined senior Ben Brackney and freshman D.J. MacLeay on the Bucknell spring Dean's List with GPAs of 3.50 or better.
Senior Cameron Ayers, junior Cory Starkey and sophomore Dom Hoffman also qualified for the Academic Honor Roll with GPAs of 3.20 or better.
The Bucknell men's basketball program has now produced 110 Academic Honor Roll recipients since the Patriot League's inception in 1990-91.
