LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's water polo head coach John McBride on Wednesday announced the Bison Class of 2018. The class includes five players, including three Californians. The younger brother of a former Bucknell player is also a member of the group.
“We lose four starters from last year's team, meaning the members of this group will have the opportunity to contend for playing time next fall,” noted McBride, who has led the Bison to 46 wins over his first three years at Bucknell. “I think we have some talented players that will be joining the program and I can't wait to get to work with them and watch how they adjust to the college game.”
Bucknell posted a 14-11 record last fall and finished in fourth place at the CWPA Championship. It was the third consecutive above-.500 finish for the Bison, who will lose nearly 64 percent of their goal production from a year ago with the graduation of seniors Julian Colina, Jack Else, Mike Kimble, Stephen Norton, Alex Nowlin and Andrew Somers.
