Bucknell Football Spring Game to Take Place Friday Evening

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Fourteen practices are in the books for the Bucknell football team, which will hold its annual spring game Friday evening at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium to conclude its four-week spring practice slate. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Bucknell fifth-year head coach Joe Susan has divided up the Bison into an Orange squad and a Blue squad. Additionally, a number of players will participate in the game as a member of both teams. The game will be played with a few modified rules:
- Four 15-minute quarters of running clock
- Final two minutes of each half will be normal clock rules
- Initial possession and possessions after scores will begin at the 30-yard line
- Punts fair caught with no rush
- One overtime period under normal rules if game is tied at end of regulation
- Quick whistle on quarterbacks
Team rosters for the game will be finalized this week. Roster sheets will be available near the entrance to Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Friday evening.
Official kickoff time for the spring game is 7:30 p.m. A few team awards, including the announcement of 2014 team captains, will be handed out just prior to kickoff. Team warmup will commence at approximately 6:30 p.m.
