
Men's Water Polo Posts 12-8 Home Win Over No. 19 Navy

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Nick Hale, Jeff Hagen and Ratimir Babic scored three goals apiece and Stefan Aleksic dished out four assists as the Bucknell men's water polo team defeated No. 19 Navy 12-8 Saturday evening at Kinney Natatorium. It was the third win over a ranked for this season for the Bison, who improved to 6-6 overall and 4-3 in CWPA Southern Division play. Navy fell to 10-8, 1-2 CWPA.
Bucknell's four-goal margin of victory marked the largest for the Bison over the Mids since 1981. Bucknell scored four goals in the first quarter and never trailed.
Grant Curry tallied two goals for the Bison, while Aleksic had one goal to go along with his four assists giving him a team-high five points. Curry tied Hagen for team-high honors with four ejections drawn as the Bison drew 11 ejections in the contest.
Keegan Williams registered nine saves in goal.
Bucknell avenged an loss to Navy two weekends ago in Annapolis, Maryland. The Bison played without Aleksic in that contest.
The Bison will be idle until Oct. 19 when they host Mercyhurst at 1 p.m. at Kinney Natatorium.
