Wrestling to Hold Annual Intrasquad Match Friday in Davis Gym

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The official start of the Bucknell wrestling season is still more than two weeks away, but fans will be able to catch the team in action for the first time this Friday, Oct. 24, when the Bison hold their annual intrasquad match. The 10-bout match will begin at 7 p.m. in Davis Gym and is open to the public free of charge.
The Bucknell coaching staff has divided the squad up into Blue and Orange teams and matchups (listed below) are already set. The lineups will have plenty of youth as six freshmen and six sophomores are expected to wrestle, in addition to 2014 NCAA qualifiers junior Paul Petrov and Joe Stolfi.
Bucknell's first regular-season dual match of 2014-15 is scheduled for Nov. 8 at Pittsburgh, while the Bison's first home competition is a Dec. 20 match against Virginia.
