LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's cross country runners Andrew Garcia-Garrison and Will Bordash each earned weekly awards following strong performances at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday. Garcia-Garrison was named the Patriot League Male Runner of the Week, as well as the Bison Athlete of the Week, while Bordash was selected as the conference's Male Rookie of the Week.
The pair led Bucknell to a solid fourth-place showing out of 37 teams at Princeton. Garcia-Garrison took 12th out of 301 runners with a time of 24:23. Bordash was 47th, crossing the line in 25:06.
It is the second Rookie of the Week honor of the season for Bordash, who received the award after a ninth-place finish to help Bucknell win the team title at the Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational. Kyle Adams also earned a Rookie of the Week selection earlier this season to give the Bison five conference awards on the year.
The Bison have this weekend off as they prepare for the Patriot League Championships, which will be hosted by Lehigh on Saturday, Nov. 1.
