Bucknell Leads Patriot League with 28 Academic Honor Roll Selections

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's cross country team put forth an impressive academic showing during the 2013 season, placing a league-best 28 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. The Bison had double the representatives of any other women's cross country program in the conference, and four of the team's honorees were among the nine student-athletes to make the Patriot League Women's Cross Country Academic Honor Roll for a fourth time.
This year's honor roll is comprised of 115 runners representing the league's 10 women's programs. Bucknell led the way with its 28 honorees, followed by Navy (14), Lehigh (13) and Loyola (11). This is the sixth consecutive season in which the Bison have topped the conference.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championships sports.
