Busy Weekend Ahead for Bucknell Women's Rowing

LEWISBURG, Pa. -One week after opening its season at the Murphy Cup, the Bucknell women's rowing team has one of its busiest weekends of the spring ahead of it. The Bison will race Drexel and Penn on the Schuylkill River on Saturday and will then compete at the Occoquan Sprints in Fairfax, Va., on Sunday.
Bucknell will open the weekend Saturday morning against Drexel. The first of three races between the Bison and Dragons will take place at 9:40 a.m. Bucknell and Penn will then square off in the afternoon with the first of four races beginning at 3:20 p.m.
Fans will have the opportunity to listen to the Bucknell-Penn race. Listeners can tune in two different ways:
• By accessing the portal over any computer or iOS/Android device at http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/penn.portal
• By dialing into the AudioNow service at 213-493-0217 from any phone. Keep in mind that users will get a message that says, "This broadcaster is currently experiencing technical difficulties" if they dial in when the broadcasters are not connected.
Sunday's Occoquan Sprints, which will take place on the Occoquan Reservoir, will commence at 10 a.m. The final event is scheduled for 2:26 p.m. This is the second straight year, and third time in four years, the Bison will row at the Occoquan Sprints.
Following this weekend's races the Bison will return to action next weekend at the Knecht Cup, which will take place on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J.
