Mike Muscala Selected to Play in Reese's Division I College All-Star Game -- UPDATED

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell senior Mike Muscala (Roseville, Minn./Roseville) has been selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) to play in the Reese's Division I College All-Star Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta as part of the NCAA's Final Four weekend festivities. The game will be played on Friday at 5 p.m., following the open practice sessions for Final Four qualifiers Louisville, Syracuse, Michigan and Wichita State. Admission is free, and the game will be televised on tape-delay on Sunday, April 7, at 2 p.m. on CBS and at 6 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
Muscala was named to the West team, which will be coached by Iowa State's Fred Hoiberg. Muscala's teammates on the West squad include Baylor's Pierre Jackson, Saint Louis' Kwamain Mitchell, Georgia Tech's Mfon Udofia, La Salle's Ramon Galloway, VCU's Troy Daniels, Miami's Durand Scott, Iowa State's Will Clyburn, North Carolina State's Richard Howell, Notre Dame's Jack Cooley and Villanova's Mouphtaou Yarou.
The East roster includes Ohio's D.J. Cooper, UCLA's Larry Drew II, Arizona State's Carrick Felix, Kansas State's Rodney McGruder, Oregon's E.J. Singler, Long Beach State's James Ennis, BYU's Brandon Davies, Creighton's Gregory Echenique, Davidson's Jake Cohen, Wisconsin's Jared Berggren and Akron's Zeke Marshall. Tennessee's Cuonzo Martin will coach the East team.
This season Muscala became the first men's basketball player to sweep the Patriot League Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards. Muscala is a four-time All-Patriot League selection, a two-time PL Player of the Year and two-time PL Tournament MVP.
Muscala was selected as one of 30 candidates for the Naismith Player of Year Award, and he was picked as a Lute Olsen All-American by CollegeInsider.com and as an Honorable Mention All-American by the Associated Press. He was also a Capital One Academic All-American and one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award. Muscala will graduate as Bucknell's all-time leading scorer (2,036 points), and he is the only player in school and league history with at least 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds (1,093).
Bucknell finished 28-6 in 2012-13, setting school and league records for wins in a season. The Bison became the first team in Patriot League history to garner three straight outright regular-season titles, and they went on to defeat Lafayette in the Patriot League championship game. Bucknell earned a No. 11 seed in the Patriot League Tournament, the second-highest seed in school and league history.
