Bucknell Football Spring Game Scheduled for Saturday Night

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell football team will conclude its 2013 spring practice this Saturday evening with its annual spring game at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. It will be the final of 15 allotted practice sessions since March 22 for the Bison.
Bucknell fourth-year head coach Joe Susan has once again divided up the team into an Orange squad and a Blue squad and assigned members of the coaching staff to each team. The game will be played with a few modified rules:
• Four 15-minute quarters of running clock
• Final two minutes of each half will be normal clock rules
• Initial possession and possessions after scores will begin at the 30-yard line
• Punts fair caught with no rush
• One overtime period under normal rules if game is tied at end of regulation
Team rosters for the game will be finalized this week. Roster sheets will be available near the entrance to Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Saturday evening.
Official kickoff time for the spring game is 7:33 p.m. A few team awards will be handed out just prior to kickoff. Team warmup will commence approximately 6:30 p.m.
Bucknell still has one more practice session prior to Saturday's game. That practice will take place Friday at 6 p.m. at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
The Bison are now just over four months from their first game of the 2013 campaign, a Sept. 7 home contest against Marist. Bucknell's first Patriot League game is Oct. 5 at Lafayette.
