LEWISBURG, Pa. -Just over two months after announcing an initial list of 18 recruits, Bucknell head football coach Joe Susan on Wednesday announced an additional three members of the Bison Class of 2017. Bret Berg (Danville, Pa./Danville Area), Nick Highberger (Wilsonville, Ore./Wilsonville) and CJ Williams (Cockeysville, Md./Navy Prep) will be joining the Bison for preseason practice in August.
"We are excited about completing our recruiting class with the addition of these three student-athletes who have committed to our program," said Susan. "There were certain variables inherent in the process in completing our class. We are pleased with the overall quality of the student-athletes in our class. They enable us to address specific positional needs and work to build quality depth within our team."
Berg and Highberger will bolster the Bison defense as safeties, while Williams is a strong running back who spent last year at Navy Prep.
Bucknell's 21 newcomers will be joining a Bison squad that returns 16 starters from 2012. The Bison also return five All-Patriot League players.
