Bucknell Men's Basketball Luncheon Thursday, Tickets Available for Saturday's PL Opener vs. Army

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell men's basketball team wrapped up the non-league portion of the regular-season schedule with a stellar 13-3 record, and now the Bison are set to begin Patriot League play on Saturday night against Army at Sojka Pavilion. Coach Dave Paulsen and select student-athletes will talk about the first half of the season and look ahead to league play at Thursday's Backcourt Club Luncheon held at noon at the Lewisburg Hotel.
The monthly luncheons are open to the public. The $9 admission includes a buffet lunch.
The Bison are coming off a heartbreaking 66-64 loss at No. 12 Missouri on Saturday. Despite coming up just short in that one, Bucknell has its second-best record after 16 games in program history.
The Orange & Blue put that record on the line Saturday at 7 p.m. at Sojka Pavilion against a strong Army team. Saturday's game will also be the Ninth Annual Dirk Sojka's Slam Dunk for Bison Basketball. There will be raffle prizes and sports memorabilia up for auction, with all proceeds benefiting Suncom Industries.
